Breaking geographical barriers, four Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students from Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) engage in an international learning experience as they join the โ€œVet Beyond Borders: Labs, Wildlife, and Global Learningโ€ program of Universitas Brawijaya under the Brawijaya International Student Mobility Awards (BISMA), conducted virtually from April 13 to 18, 2026.

Representing TAU are Mr. Scott Renz Owen Tomas, Ms. Jedhsa Romelyn G. Buayan, Mr. David Russel S. Catolico, and Mr. Alfred James M. Soriano, who actively participate in online laboratory discussions, virtual demonstrations, and specialized field-based learning sessions alongside international participants, strengthening their academic and professional competencies in veterinary medicine.

As part of the program, the students are exposed to advanced concepts in frozen semen collection and processing in collaboration with the Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan Singosari, and gain virtual insights into wildlife handling and conservation practices at Taman Safari Prigen. These learning experiences equip them with essential knowledge in diagnostics and exotic animal medicine, reinforcing TAUโ€™s commitment to producing globally competitive veterinary professionals.
